The majority of the cats and kittens in our program are from feral, stray or unwanted cats that are brought to us by concerned citizens and local rescue groups. We take them in until the kittens are weaned and mothers can be spayed. Once the kittens are tamed and spayed/neutered, they are placed in forever homes, generally by other non-profit agencies. Some vetting activities are performed at a reduced rate. Treatment protocols have been established through research and local experts. All animals are tested for FeLV and FIV, and proper care is taken when a positive test result occurs. They must be isolated to prevent future transmission, so we place them in locations where they can live out their lives in a loving, stress-free environment.
